David Wilson's Story

I originally started in Electroinics Engineering working on the big warships but then got made redundant. It was a natural progression for me and I did a four months internship where I was eventually offered a permanent role. Since then I have progressed considerably.

Cloud is the latest trend in the industry and as I'm always looking to update my skills I decided to do the AWS course. I hope to use these skills going forward in my career and to also learn other cloud vendor solutions like Azure and OpenStack. The training was challenging in parts due to its intensity but I needed that discipline to get through it.

I am currently contracting for a major bank and hope to put my new skills to good use. I will improve my skills in the future by learning new skills that will compliment the cloud environment as this is the way things are going but eventually, another trend will come out and it all starts again.
